and how the rest of the world sees us.
A sad story told by American architects.
And It all happened at the World's Fair.
Mina M. Chow, AIA, NCARB, SAG has taught design studio at the USC School of Architecture, Woodbury University and Santa Monica College. She is principal of LA design/multi-media firm mc2 SPACES, which has completed several design and multi-media projects in Southern California. Prof. Chow is interested in expanding the awareness of innovative design in the public eye by creating projects to expand the accessibility of architecture in film, television and the Internet. She has won production grants for her documentaries on architecture from the California Architectural Foundation, the USC Architectural Guild, and the USC Ambassador’s Fund. In 2009, she completed a web-cast “Be Happy” for the National Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, as well as directing a film for the USC American Academy in China. In 2010, she filmed the AIA Firm-of-the-Year Pugh+Scarpa video for the National Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Currently, she is directing and producing “FACE OF A NATION” a documentary about architecture and global politics, and creating a series called “BRAVE NEW WORLD” about innovative architecture with the Mayor’s office in Los Angeles.
