Program Description
This course is for those design professionals that are working on projects in the State of California and are required to design those projects in compliance with the current 2016 California Energy Efficiency Standards, also known as Title-24. The course will review the major changes in the Energy Standards in the areas of some new requirements in the plan review process, low-rise residential mandatory measures, fenestration, mechanical equipment and new lighting requirements, and non-residential envelope insulation and cool roofs, mechanical and lighting changes. There will a discuss on the modification to the Energy Standards in the section for the outdoor lighting, including new application power and control requirements. Attendees will leave with an understanding of the mandatory measure and new requirements of the 2016 Title-24 Standards.

Learning Objectives:

1. Participants will understand the changes that are required in the overall scope and application in the latest energy reduction requirement for projects within the State of California.

2. Participants will become familiar with current requirements in design for residential and non-residential projects.
