AIAPF Healthcare Group presents...

Microgrids and Distributed Generation: Opportunities and Challenges

There are many challenges facing our social infrastructure, but there are also opportunities. This interactive presentation will identify how the use of distributed generation and microgrids will do its part in making healthcare facilities and other social infrastructure, and specifically healthcare buildings more sustainable and resilient. It will also address the regulatory and environmental changes driving their adoption.

Learning Objectives

  1. Identify the operational and regulatory requirements that are influencing and driving healthcare operations
  2. Define the impact of California’s hugely successful renewable power initiative and the need to optimize its usage
  3. Understand the regulatory drivers and the changes that will be required to allow these technologies to operate not only as normal power, but also to support operations in prolonged power outages
  4. Outline system options and implementation strategies
